This Ikon shock fits the following AirHead "Monolever" models:
1985-'95 R65, R80, R80RT (NOT R80G/S or R80ST)
1987-'95 R100RS, R100RT, R100'Classic' (NOT R100GS & PD or R100R & Mystic)

Back in the day, it was often the very first thing a BMW owner did with his brand new bike: take off the stock shock(s)and install Koni. It was the best way to achieve suspension excellence that the stock units were just incapable of delivering.
• Steel bodied mono tube, gas pressurized design for mono-shock systems.
