To commemorate this moment in our lives, Bob’s BMW has created a special t-shirt with a simple and powerful message: #rideitout.
According to Merriman Webster, “ride it out” means “to succeed in surviving or getting through (something dangerous or harmful).” Example: “The ship/crew rode out the storm.”
Wearers who acquire a shirt (via purchase or our May promotion) and ride any brand motorcycle will help communicate to the world we live in and share roads with that we’re in this together.
The simple #rideitout message was created by the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), an organization comprised primarily of motorcycle manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers (accessories to riding gear) plus a small number of motorcycle dealers and independent shops.
Bob’s BMW is proud to be a charter dealer member of the MIC. Most recently we’ve worked with the MIC to make sure elected officials understood the need for motorcycle shops around the country to remain open while other pandemic related restrictions were put in place.
The MIC specifically gave Bob’s BMW permission to print and sell these shirts. We think every motorcyclist and plenty of non-riders should wear this #rideitout shirt to help communicate that today, more than ever, we all need to be working together as one big family, supporting each other in all ways possible. So please tell your friends and share this link!
Who knows, when life starts to look like it did a few months back perhaps more non-riders will be extra courteous on the roads we all share as a result of seeing us riders wearing these shirts. For now, maybe it’ll just be a conversation starter when two strangers pass each other (at a distance) in the aisles of a grocery store until we’re again sharing table or bar space in our favorite restaurants after a great motorcycle ride.
As a show of community support for purchasing a #rideitout shirt from Bob’s BMW, we will donate $1 from every shirt we sell to FEEDING AMERICA, a 501c3 non-profit which supports foodbanks and other programs for those in need including all those heroic first responders we all depend on in more ways that most of us can count.
