For riders who prefer a more upright riding posture, Bar Backs are the easy solution to achieving a comfortable ride. This precision made handlebar setback set is made in USA by Suburban Machinery.
Handlebar adjustability is retained the same way the stock setup works, but when these adapters are used in the highest position your hand grips will be approximately 1.1" further up and 1.1" further back than would be possible with the highest stock setting. The diagonal move (45 degrees) from the factory position is 1.55 inches.
These Bar Backs come with 1/4" x 20 threaded holes in the top surface for attaching a RAM ball mount. Stainless button head cap screws are included for mounting an accessory plate across the two adapters.
This Bar Back set is made specifically for the K1300GT, but will also fit the K1200GT, but please NOTE:
• On 2006 & '07 K1200GT models, due to throttle cable length, only the lower three positions will work. (Changing to longer K1300GT throttle cables will allow the use of all 5 positions. We recommend that cable installation be carried out by an authorized BMW dealer.)
• During the 2008 model year, BMW changed the brake and clutch hose used on the K1200GT to the design now used on the K1300GT. If you own a 2008 K1200GT you may have this newer system which will require the K13GT Bar Backs set. Owners of 2008 models should order this kit regardless of which hose arrangement you have.
