Denfeld Solo Seat Set

This complete solo seat set fits 1955-'69 twins: R50, R60, R50/2, R60/2, R69, R69S. The seat itself is an ORIGINAL Denfeld product. Yes, the OEM supplier to BMW during the 50s and 60s is still in business and still making these fine rubber seats! The other components, which include the supporting "T-bar," the rubber "Silent Block" spring, and the accompanying mounting bracket, are all accurately crafted reproductions.

Whether a BMW of the period was equipped with a rubber solo seat like this or a dual bench seat was meant to be the option of the buyer. In fact both seats were delivered with new bikes. In the US where riders generally preferred the dual seat, many dealers did not even present the option for the solo seat. They simply threw it away before displaying the bike on the showroom floor! European tastes, on the other hand, leaned to the solo seat. Now you can have it either way - or both!
