This Lock Cylinder Kit from BMW allows you to install a lock in your BMW side case or top case that MATCHES an existing key — either your ignition key or another key already in use with your luggage system.
Fits Aluminium BMW Adventure Cases for the following models:
- R1200GS 2013-2018
- R1200GSA 2014-2018
- R1250GS & GSA
- F750GS, F850GS & F850GSA
The kit includes a bare lock cylinder, all the necessary fitting tabs & springs, and instructions.
Two (2) cylinders needed per top case and Three (3) needed per side case.
From the twelve supplied tabs, select the eight tabs that correspond with the cut of your key and insert each along with a spring into the lock cylinder. Then, with the key in place, install the cylinder into the latch of your case. Twist the key to secure the cylinder in place and you're done. The lock is just as secure as a factory prepared lock.
